SPECIAL PROGRAMS

We aim to keep our special programs relevant and in service to the needs of our community. Special programs follow a 6 week schedule and are kept small to provide individualized attention to participants.

BONE HEALTH

MET-Fit Bone Health is a small group personal training program for beginners. It is ideal for individuals with an osteopenia or osteoporosis diagnosis or a family history of either.

This 6 week program meets twice a week for 45 minutes and uses an evidence based approach which combines high intensity strength training, fall prevention protocols and balance work with the goal of building muscle and strengthening bone.

BONE HEALTH LEVEL 2

MET-Fit Bone Health LEVEL 2 is a small group personal training program for more experienced exercisers. It is ideal for individuals with an osteopenia or osteoporosis diagnosis or a family history of either.

 

This 6 week program meets twice a week for 60 minutes and uses an evidence based approach which combines high intensity strength training, fall prevention protocols and balance work with the goal of building muscle and strengthening bone.

FIT OVER 40

Fit Over 40 is a small group personal training program for women 40 years old and over.​

Muscle mass naturally decreases with age. In fact, physically inactive people can lose as much as 3% to 5% of their muscle mass each decade after age 30, but strength training can help reverse that.

 

This 6 week program meets for 60 minutes twice a week and focuses on building strength safely and effectively.

 

We will coach you through a program of progressively heavier resistance each week.
